Following completion of the tool we run multiple prototypes amending the variables for example cooling time and shot weight to produce samples for your testing and approval prior to full production runs.
Prototyping the first rotomoulded products off the tool is key so that we can make any minor tool modifications prior to product launch. It also helps us to correctly specify the material and moulding cycle ready for larger product runs. At this stage we will also determine whether any cooling jigs are required to make sure that the final product continuously stays within tolerance. When you need a closer look than a 3D rendered drawing is able to offer, Trifibre are able to produce product prototypes prior to tooling to give an idea of the size and look using foam or wood and in the case of smaller products, 3D printed prototypes.
